The Squad has all the features of the Pro Model Boards with a more affordable price tag. It even uses the same colourways & logo's!
The main difference is the Squad has HD Slick, instead of the Surlyn found on many of the Pro Model boards.
Squad Template - The Spawn uses the Stealth Pro Template, which is used by much of our Pro Team. Designed for high performance riding in quality wave conditions
Squad Construction - The Spawn consists of a Polypro Core with Double Stringers, which makes it extremely durable pretty suitable for most climates. This is encapsulated by PE Deck & HD Slick
Squad Features - We've kept it pretty simple, but included all the most sought after features - 55/45 Double Rails, Crescent Tail, Graduated Channels and Nose Bulbs.
Suggested Sizing
As a general guide, a bodyboard should go to the rider's belly button. apart from that, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing the correct size board. Generally bigger boards are faster, but not as easy to control, and generally suited to smaller waves and beginners. On the other hand smaller boards are a bit harder to generate speed, however, have greater control and are ideal for bigger waves and more advanced riders.
As a guide, please refer to the table below. If you're a beginner, you are probably best suited to a size in which you fall in the lower end of the weight range. ie. 40kg beginner would be best suited to 38", not 36".
